Through our city the river Orava flows, which separates the old town Tvrdošín from housing estate Medvedzie and town suburb Krásna Hôrka. Two shorelines join three bridges: the bridge - for pedestrians, railway bridge and the bridge 095 that is the main road to Poland (I / 59).
We set for a walk with our teacher to look at bridges from close range. We made the documentation with tablets. To obtain some of the photos we were needed to use acrobatic skills. But it was worth it!
We found that bridges aren´t built fixed but on sliding rollers or balls that are called bearings. On the road is an expansion gap that could move the road. It's because the bridge its length increases in summer and decreases in winter. We had never realized that the bridges have this construction.
Cez naše mesto preteká rieka Orava, ktorá oddeľuje mesto Tvrdošín od sídliska Medvedzie a časti Krásna hôrka. Dva brehy spájajú tri mosty: lavička - pre chodcov, železničný most, a most 095 hlavný ťah cesty I/59.
S pani učiteľkou sme boli na vychádzke. Boli pozrieť na mosty z blízka. Tabletmi sme urobili dokumentáciu. Na získanie niektorých fotografií sme potrebovali priam akrobatické schopnosti. Ale stálo to zato!
Zistili sme, že mosty sa nestavajú napevno, ale akoby na posuvných valčekoch alebo guľôčkach, ktoré sa nazývajú ložiská. Na vozovke je dilatačná medzera, aby sa mohla vozovka pohybovať. Je to preto, lebo v lete most svoju dĺžku zväčšuje a v zime svoju dĺžku zmenšuje. Nikdy predtým sme si neuvedomili, že mosty majú takúto konštrukciu.
